Job PurposeAs a Commercial Insurance Representative with Darryl Wakefield State Farm Agency, you will develop and maintain business insurance client relationships by assessing their needs, preparing proposals, and selling appropriate products such as business owners and workers’ compensation policies. Your role will focus on lead generation—including phone and in-person cold calls—new business acquisition, and multi-lining opportunities including auto, homeowners, life, and health insurance. This position is full-time and requires working on-site.Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain long-term business insurance client relationships.
- Conduct phone and in-person cold calls to generate new business leads.
- Assess clients’ insurance needs and recommend suitable commercial insurance products.
- Lead the sales process from prospecting and lead generation to closing.
- Prepare and present insurance proposals tailored to business clients.
- Assist clients with policy renewals, changes, and claims support.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and transactions.
- Achieve daily and monthly goals including outbound calls, quotes, referrals, and life insurance conversations.
- Follow established prospecting and follow-up processes.
- Answer phones professionally and assist with billing inquiries.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for life/health consultations and policy reviews.
- Assist with marketing initiatives as directed by the agency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Knowledge
- General customer service experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word) required.
- Knowledge of personal and commercial insurance products preferred.

Licensing and Training Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain Florida 2-15 (Life, Health, and Variable Annuities) and 2-20 (General Lines) licenses.
- Complete all required company, state, and federal licensing and continuing education.
Compensation $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
